One of the best Airbnb experiences we've had.Ginger and Jim have an exceptionally comfortable and clean place with so, so many touches that made our stay so lovely. 1500 Main is the gold standard by which all other AirBnBs should aspire. Seriously, I may have to rethink any previous 5 star ratings :) The space was perfect for our needs - immaculate, spacious, fully stocked. They thought of everything, including quick meals for our first night arrival, half and half for the morning coffee, a selection of juices for my kids, and snacks! The space was really clean, I mean really clean, and this may be the first time where I didn't have to do anything before leaving. We felt right at home! Ginger and Jim were gracious, welcoming hosts who were around to chat with us. Everything was as described, clean, tidy and labeled. This is the best house I have ever lived in. Just like living in your own home. All the daily necessities are available. The room is clean and tidy. The check-in guide is very creative and clear. The location of the house is very good, it is convenient to go anywhere. It's within half an hour's drive to O'Hare Airport or downtown Chicago. Everything is just right. We could not have asked for a more perfect house for our trip back to my hometown, Evanston. The house was the perfect size for our family, two adults and two kids (9 and 12 yo), with our own very comfortable beds and two bathrooms. The nightlights and sound machines in the rooms were awesome, we normally travel with ours but no need here as they already had them. You are on a main street so there is some street noise to be expected, but with the blackout curtains and sound machines, we all slept amazing. The access to laundry was fabulous, and although we didn't explore the backyard it looked lovely. We walked 10 mins down Main to a great coffee shop and stores, and walked the 25 mins to downtown Evanston for lunch and shopping. Ginger was so lovely and it was great to hear about the history of the house too! Cannot recommend their place enough and we will definitely be coming back.
